Murders
April 16 [14:00 EST] -- Harvard University will host a
conference next month featuring many hip-hop figures and
observers that examines the issues surrounding the deaths of
Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., the university's Black
Student Association announced this week.
The one day event is being called "Life After Death:
Rap, Reality, and Social Responsibility," and is set for
May 3rd on Harvard's campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Among the confirmed attendees are rappers Chuck D, Chubb
Rock, and Vinny from Naughty by Nature, and among the non-MCs
are social critic Michael Eric Dyson and hip-hop journalists
Reginald Dennis and James Bernard.
The conference will feature three major panel discussions,
which will be punctuated by a performance by an as yet
undetermined artist.
