Snoop Learns From Tupac's Work Ethic
March 27 [12:00 EST] -- Though he's no longer with us
Tupac continues to have a strong impact on his Death Row
Records label mate Snoop Doggy Dogg.
Snoop explained at MTV's Spring Break '97 last week, when
John Norris asked him why he's planning to release another
album on July 4, so soon after last November's "Tha
Doggfather."
"I learned that from my homeboy Tupac, he was a
workaholic," Snoop told MTV News.
"He showed me and everybody around us how to focus in
on working and being workaholics and doing what we gotta do
without time being a factor, just work, without time being a
factor. Just get it done, get it situated. If it's a nice
album, if you like it to your ear, then put it out, you know
what I'm saying. And that's what I learned, there's no such
thing as a perfect album. There's such a thing as working and
giving the people what they like, and right now I feel they
need another album from me right now."
Snoop will launch his delayed tour with Dr. Dre, Little
Kim, Foxy Brown, and Dru Hill later this spring.
